"After getting off all of the drugs I was taking for my Lupus relapse, I discovered I had gained 40 pounds from taking the steroids!! I made a commitment to myself that I was going to lose the weight I had put on. I lost 20 pounds in 6 months but had reached a plateau.

 

At my Zumba class, I notice a friend who looked great and asked what she was doing. She told me about her meal plans the coach at her school had made for her and that’s all it took. Myron Courtney, with Finish Strong Fitness worked with me and came up with a 4-week meal plan customized just for me. It was great because he figured out everything for me like calories, carbs, etc and it was with foods that I actually liked.

 

Then I found out about his boot camp on Saturday mornings. Since I am “older” I did not think I could keep up with the younger participants and I can’t. But each week I get a little better than the week before. Plus if there are activities I can’t do he always has a modification for me. Now I don’t like to miss.

 

I am proud to say that I reached my weight loss goal about 4 months after starting my meal plans and I have kept the weight off. "
